King Fish are biting off the coast of Fort Lauderdale

By January 16, 2014Fort Lauderdale Fishing

This morning we started out fishing with Frank from Memphis Tenn., Terry and Moe from Houston Texas.

We went right to kite fishing with our live baits suspended from the kites. We also fished a rod on the bottom with a live bait down there.

We ended up with this very nice kingfish and 1 mutton snapper.

As we pulled back to the dock we had our afternoon trip eager to give their luck a shot with us deep sea fishing off the coast of Fort Lauderdale.

We had Christian from Boca Raton Florida and Brandon, Timothy, Michael Amanda all from Orlando Florida.

This after noon we went right to trolling on the reef with 2-planner boards running about 45 feet deep along with 3 baits skipping across the surface.

Today it was the deep lines that paid off with 5 mackerels.

Thanks again to every one for fishing with us aboard the Hooked Up.
