This morning we started out fishing with Esteban, David, Gilbert, Joe and Grace all from Texas.
We started out trolling the reef and while trolling was slow today we did manage to catch a few bonitos.
Ok time to try for the big one.
Down went the shark baits and the trap was set.
What happens next was NOT what we expected.
All of a sudden we were Hooked Up and the shark on the other end was a big one!! No really I mean this one was BIG!!
I was not on the trip today so I don’t know who reeled it in ob if everyone took turns BUT what I do know is that once they got this Hammerhead shark next to the boat and measured it everyone was in shock 160 inches that’s right 13 feet long!!
Now that’s a big shark.
We never got any pictures and we sure hope you guys e-mail us some!!!
As we pulled back to the dock we had our afternoon trip eager to give their luck a shot deep sea fishing off the coast of Fort Lauderdale.
We had Luke, Julia and Thomas all from Houston Texas.
Once again we started out trolling the ref and once again we caught bonitos.
And what the heck if it worked this morning we figured we would try some more shark fishing.
And yes once again we got Hooked Up and this one turned out to be a MANSTER 79 inch sand bar shark. This is VERY BIG for a sand bar. Today was the day for the big ones aboard the Hooked Up off the coast of Fort Lauderdale.
Thanks again to all of our anglers for fishing with us aboard the Hooked Up.
