His And Hers Sailfish aboard Hooked Up off the coast of Fort Lauderdale
Today we spend the day fishing with Ted and his wife Candace from Alabama.
They took a few days off to get away from the hassle and bustle of everyday life back home.
So off to South Florida they came. And while our beaches were still closed the fishing was wide open.
Mahia Mahia was what they were looking for and while the weather was perfect with a slight 7-knot Southeast wind and the seas flat calm there were just no mahia to be found.
So we decided to put out a few live baits and a deep drop rig to fish the bottom.
And that’s when everything changed for us!!
Within in minutes after putting out the live baits we got HOOKED UP with not 1 but 2 sailfish at the same time.
After a 25 min back and forth tug a war both fish were caught.
After a quick picture both fish were released to fight again another day.
Candace and Ted that’s again for a great day of fishing and we’re looking forward to fishing again tomorrow.
