Well it has been a real roller coaster fishing in Fort Lauderdale this month!!

tarted out this month with some of the best sail fishing I’ve seen here in 40 years I mean catching sailfish one after another not just us aboard the Hooked Up fleet I mean everyone was catching them
As a matter a fact, there was a 2-day sailfish tournament and they released 1400 sails in 2 days!! WOW unreal numbers.
All of a sudden the current stopped and the sails were far and few in-between. Bottom fishing got very slow along with the Black Fin tunas.
I’m often asked what are the best months to fish here off Fort Lauderdale?
I have always said TAX day the 15th of April till mid June but this March has left me scratching my head??

People often ask about the price and tips and live bait or any other fine print things that might pop up??
- While yes you must have a fishing license to fish in South Florida we purchase what is called a blanket license. So no license required.
- Are we the cheapest? No we are not BUT wait lets tell you why I feel we are the best BANG for your BUCK.
- This time of the year all of the charter boats down here do a lot of fishing with live baits whether we are suspending the live bait from a kite or if no wind we slowly troll them around.
- Travel time to the ocean we are 6 minutes from the ocean so less travel time to get out there fishing and more fishing time for you!!
- Live baits can cost up to $120 per dozen! YIKES did not see that one coming did you!
BUT wait! My crew and I take turns fishing for these baits that only bite at night!
So no extra $120 for live bait aboard the Hooked Up fleet!

Gratuity- Glad you asked it truly is up to you but consider us a waiter that never leaves you side and does all we can a catch you fish and also to have great conversion and heck we got lots of fishing stories I’m sure you’ll enjoy.
So
having said that it is kinda like going out to eat 15 to 20% is very generous.
So there you have it with no fine print!!
All of a sudden we don’t sound like the most expensive fishing charter in town! I truly feel we are the best.
Do we catch more than everybody every day? No, but we are consistent and yes a lot of times we do.
Chartering a boat to go fishing off Fort Lauderdale is not cheap, BUT if you charter the right boat with a crew that does the best they can and keep trying different fishing methods along with good people interaction you damn’ right it’s worth it.
