Our new addition into the Hooked Up fishing fleet is a 1986 45-foot Hatterass (Hooked Up 2). The Hooked Up 2 has been a privately owned boat that has been maintained to yacht status equipped with all the bells and whistles fully air-conditioned and refrigerated along with a full galley and high performance 535 horse power Detroit engines to get us to the fishing grounds fast.
While we are still in the infant stages of getting the newest boat in our fleet up and fishing everyday here is a sneak preview of a few of the fishing trips we have run.

One of our first Charters aboard the Hooked Up 2 was with Mike and Lia out of Boca Raton Florida.
Interesting story here how Mike and well known layer down here in South Florida and his fiancé Lia meat this couple Jonathan and Susan from South Bend Indiana while they were out to dinner the other night and since the young couple were down here on their honey moon they thought that it would be a real treat to invite them out fishing off the coast of South Florida.
WOW talk about running into the right people!!
We went right to trolling and wound up catching our limit of kingfish along with a bunch of bonitos and a black fin tuna.
This trip took place on Aug the first and Mike and Lia have chartered the boat at least 6 times since. (I think they like fishing with us?) Thanks guys.
On the 8th of Aug we took out David, Ian, Luke, Daniel and Matt all from Wilton Ct.
Once again we went right to trolling the reef and catching a bunch of kingfish.
On the 10th of Aug we took out Tim his wife Mary and their kids Daelan and Clayton from Pembroke Pines Florida.
As it turned out Tim is a State trooper down here in South Florida so we are looking forward to a lot more fishing with some of South Florida’s finest troopers.
(Good guys to know if you get pulled over) (LOL)
We went right back to trolling the reefs with 2 planner boards running about 45 feet deep and 5 baits skipping across the surface.
By the end of the trip we had a box full of bonitos along with a few kingfish and a couple of barracudas.
Guy’s thanks again for fishing with us and we’re looking forward to fishing with you again soon.

Truth being told here we have not kept up with all the fishing reports and while Mike from Boca Raton has fished with us about 4 or 5 times since his first trip with us this trip stands out and here is why.
Mike is the kind of guy that really enjoys taking others out fishing and watching the smiles on their faces as they catch fish BUT today was a little different today Mike called us at the last second and asked if we could take him fishing.
So as we were getting the boat ready to go and expecting to see Mike Lia and you never know who else we were surprised to see Mike all by himself.
As it turned out Mike was just looking for a little Mike time and just unwind and relax. It was obvious he had a lot on his mind and he just wanted to get away for a while.
What a great idea and as it turned out we ended up catching a bunch of Mahia Mahia along with some bonitos and kingfish and by the end of the trip Mike looked like a new guy.

Mike as always it is a pleasure. Luis and I look forward to fishing with you or you and your guest’s again soon you are first class.
Sep 1
Today we had an all day trip with Chris from St Louis and our goal was to go about 17 miles off shore and try to catch a swordfish.
While we never did get a swordfish bite we did manage to catch 6 ob 7 nice Mahia Mahia for dinner.

Chris thanks again and we’re looking forward to fishing again this week coming up.
On the 2nd of Sep we took out Tonya from right down here in Sunny South Florida along with her sister Evy from Marry Land and Herbert and Janice from Avon Park Florida and Latrevia and Antwan I mean Sugar or should we call him Sleepy since he slept the whole trip (LOL)
What a fun action filled trip with Latrevia starting thing out by landing a nice 18 to 20 pound Wahoo followed up with a bunch of bonitos and a couple of kingfish and a couple of good eating Mahia Mahia.

WOW now that’s a good fishing trip.

On the 3rd of Sep we had one of our regular customers/friends Mickey from Westin Florida along with her children Danny, Samantha, Alex and Ryan and of course one of her close friends Kristen from Boca Raton Florida.
Truth being told fishing was slow BUT while trolling the reef we did manage to catch some kingfish and a few bonitos along with one barracuda.

Than we switched to deep dropping and caught one snowy grouper and a couple of great eating tile fish.

I want to take a second to thank all of our anglers for fishing with me and my son Luis and helping us build up our newest business.
Our goal is to have the #1 charter fleet in South Florida and we are going to do it with repeat costumers.
So you know we are going to do what ever it takes to show you the best time out fishing that we can!!!
Thanks again Captain Taco
