September 2003

September was another great month of fishing for the Hooked Up. There were several different species of fish caught and we had a lot of fun on the trips. We started the month out with our good friends Steve and Pete from here in Ft. Lauderdale and Pete's friend Christine from Long Island. What a day, we had a blast catching bontia's and kingfish and then Christine topped the day off by landing a lemon shark! Way to go Christine, it was great meeting you and we look forward to seeing you again. Next the Hooked Up recieved a call from Bob Pope and he gave us the opportunity to take the, "Fastest Man Alive" General Chuck Yeager out fishing. Out enjoying the day fishing with General Yeager was Dave Jones, Dave Freeman, Kevin West and Joe Horine from Citrex Systems here in Ft. Lauderdale. We all enjoyed getting to meet General Yeager and a monrning of good fishing catching bonita's, kingfish and a nice hammerhead shark! Thanks for thinking of us Bob, that was a trip we will never forget! The next group out with us was Tony, Andre, Rick, Mike and Tracie from Boston Scientific from Miami. They had a great morning landing bonita's, kingfish, dolphin fish and a nice sailfish! Nice Catch!! That afternnon Andy and Leigh Giles from England went out with us and they loaded up on their limit with kingfish and bonita's. It was great meeting you guys and we look forward to fishing with you when you return to Ft. Lauderdale. Out next on the Hooked Up was Jeremy and Greg from Indiana and they loaded up catching bonita's, kingfish, 4 dolphin fish and to top it off they landed a nice sailfish! Way to go guys!! Mid month we had Scott and Leon from Baton Rouge, Louisiana on board and they caught their limit in kingfish and a wahoo. That afternoon Albert was out with us and he landed a bonita and some kingfish. Next was Tim, Yar, Brandon, Sergio, Arthur and Daniel and they enjoyed a morning catching bonita's, kingfish, dolphin fish and wahoo - Nice haul guys! Our next trip was Scott and Hampton from Pennsylvania and they landed two trophy kingfish! On the 20th we had a birthday party on board - Doug, Dee and Jerry from Deerfield Beach and Craig, Chris and Sharon from Ft. Lauderdale and they had a blast catching a monster barracuda, some kingfish, a dolphin fish and a bonita - We hope you had a great Birthday Doug and we look forward to seeing you again! At the end of the month we had Steve, Glenn, Amy and Payton from Norway out with us and they landed a kingfish, a barracuda and 2 tuna's. Then we took out Robert and Christi from England and they enjoyed catching 2 bonita's, a smoker kingfish and 2 really nice amberjacks. What a trip! Next out with us was Kirk and Peggy, they are orignally from Minnesota and now they have come down here to thaw out and do some fishing with the crew on the Hooked Up. This was their first trip out with us and they had a great time landing a kingfish, 3 bonita's, a smoking barracuda and the largest golden amberjack we caught this month. Welcome to fishing on the Hooked Up!!! Our last couple of trips were Dave, John and Rob from Chicago and they caught bonita's, their limit in kingfish and 2 nice barracuda's. The last trip of the month was Guy and friends from Long Island, New York. They enjoyed catchiang 4 kingfish, a nice amberjack and a blackfin tuna!
