Today the fish were biting for Mark, Bob, Vera, Larry and Charles all from Fort Lauderdale Florida.
We started out trolling the reef and catching 5 nice kingfish 3 bonitos and a gang grouper. (Sorry to say season is closed on grouper so this one gets to get bigger for another day)
Ok now that everyone had caught some fish it was time to try for a big one.
So in came the trolling gear and out went the kites with live and dead bait suspended from them along with a shark bait set down deep.
Ok now the trap was set and the wait began.
All at once the deep rod bent over and line started screaming off the reel.
The fight was on. We would gain a bit and than the fish on the other end would take it back. RATS back and forth but finally we started to gain more than he was taking.
At last this nice hammerhead shark popped up behind the boat.
We WON THIS ONE!! Wow what a blast.
