Another shark off Fort Lauderdale

By February 19, 2014Fort Lauderdale Fishing

Today we went fishing with Frank and Frank J.R., Marcel and Oliver all from New York.

Today we set out our kites in real deep water (400 feet) along with a shark bait out on a bobber.

Since we had all the baits away from the boat we dropped down a chicken rig to the bottom. (A chicken rig 5 hooks in a line sinker at the bottom)

This way as we were waiting for the BIG bite we picked the bottom for tilefish (Best eating fish in the ocean).

We managed to catch a half a dozen-tile fish when all of a sudden BAM we were Hooked Up.

After a good 20 min battle we ended up with this nice hammerhead shark.

Thanks again to our new friends from New York for fishing with us aboard the Hooked Up off the coast of Fort Lauderdale.
